Beans~Secret Keeper No.5

These little hollow heads showed up somewhere between the field and the forest and refused to leave.

They don’t exactly hold things, but they’re good at hiding them. A chocolate square. A tiny note. A key you’ll absolutely forget about later. Maybe a strange pebble. Maybe nothing at all.

Each one is hand sculpted from speckled clay and glazed individually, so every face ends up a little different. Some look concerned. Some look sleepy. Some look like they know your secrets but are trying to be polite about it.

No molds, no exact copies, no perfect symmetry.

The glaze layering on these pieces shifts naturally in the kiln and may pool, break, spot, or become thicker in some areas. I’m always experimenting and learning with glaze combinations, which means each piece develops its own odd little surface details and imperfections along the way.

Made slowly by hand in Washington State as part of the world of Le Howl.
